Screen Awards saw performances by a host of stars, but the clear scene stealers were Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan.
Shahrukh Khan was the show’s host and he not just charmed everyone with his signature wit and humour, but also shook a leg on the stage.
The showstopper of the evening was clearly Deepika Padukone who tributed her 2013 releases by appearing in four different avatars. The most stellar of the performances was to the beats of ‘Nagada Sang Dhol’ from her hit film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’.
The evening also saw performances by Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Varun Dhawan and Ali Zafar.
At the awards, Shahrukh Khan bagged the best actor award in popular choice category for his work in Rohit Shetty’s "Chennai Express". Deepika Padukone, his leading lady in the film, won the best actress trophy for the same movie. Deepika was also awarded best actor (female) for "Ram Leela".
“2 much happiness at Life Ok Screen awards. nothing to beat Big B's jacket. Thank you especially Star & Indian express,” Shahrukh Khan tweeted.
Amitabh Bachchan, who won the Lifetime Achievement award at the Life OK Screen Awards 2014 , wrote in his blog: “It is the most awkward moment in ones life when an honour is announced and there are those that have worked and been close to you, asked to say a few words. Perhaps it is easier for those that express, it certainly is not the most easiest for him that has to sit in not too great a distance, to listen and wait for that call from the stage to come up and get it ..!! Get the reward ..”
We were in complete awe of Sonakshi Sinha and her shimmery sheer Amit GT gown on the red carpet. She was styled really well for the awards night. Pink lipcolor and soft curls also did the trick. She was Miss enigmatic of the night.
Though the young actresses like Aditi Rao Hydari, Vaani Kapoor, Sonal Chauhan dominated the red carpet, the 39-year-old Kajol stole the thunder in a Shantanu and Nikhil gown, which she paired with an alluring pair of earrings from the House of Chic.
Among the ladies who went for desi looks were Bipasha Basu and Sophie Choudry. Both the ladies picked Manish Malhotra for the event.
