When it comes to fashion, the name that immediately pops up in our mind is of the actress Sonam Kapoor -- the one who never fails to leave a mark with her quirky, fun and sophisticated sartorial picks. So when Harper’s Bazaar decided to introduce the season’s latest mood, who else than Sonam to do the honour by showing it off on their cover.
Sonam Kapoor is celebrating the fashion’s new flavour -- dark, decadent and glamour -- with aplomb on the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar. With sleek hair falling on her back, broad eyebrows and dark mystical smoky eye make-up, Sonam looks every inch a designer’s dream. In fact, she is! For the cover, she wears a lace Louis Vuitton dress with an Ungaro jacket, and strikes the oh-so-familiar akimbo pose.
Inside the spread, the dark side of Sonam gets unearthed and one sees the actress without her infectious smile. Yes, she lives up the theme of the shoot, donning the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Bibhu Mohaptara, Emporio Armani, Namrata Joshipura, and other renowned designers.
As the actress gets experimental, she looks resplendent and equally sensuous on the cover of the mag.
The glossy has even come up with an interesting tete-a-tete with the actress, where she speaks about her films, her favourite director, and why her life cannot be just about Bollywood.
Well, Sonam Kapoor’s current favourite is Dibakar Banerjee, and she wants to work with him in the near future. However, the actress is yet to discover whether she can play a negative role now. Sonam feels she needs to grow up a little more as an actress to enter that space. But, we guess, she already tried to do a bit of that in Raanjhanaa!
