Shahrukh Khan was at a press conference held to launch the Times of India Film Awards, Shahrukh Khan said at the press meet: “I am happy and fortunate to be here to launch this. We want to put India on a global platform. We want to put our best foot forward; and this is a great platform.”

The Times of India Film Awards 2013 celebrations span over a weekend from April 4 - April 6, 2013.
April 4: will see leading musicians from the Hindi Film Industry regale audiences with a concert at the Pacific Colliseum
April 5: will hold film screenings of popular Hindi films across multiplexes in British Columbia for the public. This will be followed by the TOIFA Nomination Gala & the Technical Awards
Building the excitement ahead, the weekend culminates into a grand awards ceremony at BC Place on April 6, 2013.
