
Architectural Digest (AD), the world's design bible, published by Condé Nast celebrated its first anniversary at NPCA lawns , which also marked the opening party of India Design Forum (IDF). As India’s leading international design platform, IDF brings top architects, interior designers, product designers and more to speak during the two day conference from March 15th-16th, 2013 at the NCPA, in association with AD.
The celebratory event saw the presence of personalities from the design, interiors, architecture and fashion community, socialites and celebrities including Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Tarun Tahiliani, Sussanne Khan Roshan, Rajshree Pathy, Anouska Hempel, Parmeshwar Godrej, Subodh Gupta, Jitish Kallat, Hemant Sagar, Priti Paul, Feroze Gujral, Ashish Raheja, Rahul & Malini Akerkar, Anil Chopra, Simone Arora, Laila & Ricky Lamba, AD Singh, Jamini Ahluwalia, Pinky Reddy, Arjun Malik, Nozer Wadia, Yamini Namjoshi, Peter Nagy, Kamal Sidhu, Aarti Juneja, Nikhila Palat and Vivan Bhatena among others.

AD India’s first anniversary issue scans the globe to bring insights into the most beautiful homes in the world. Within India, AD features the homes of India’s fashion designers Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Tarun Tahiliani and Suneet Varma focusing on the designers’ inspirations and intimate spaces. This issue carries trends for the season including a style guide on the latest international looks, perspectives from various design experts and showcases the world’s ten best designed hotels among other features.

The evening saw many delights as guests were welcomed with a magical walkway - an illuminated installation created by artist Zuleikha Allana. Guests were further enthralled by Lecoanet Hemant’s Dresses of Light, a special line of mobile light installations which were unveiled with real light sculptures and projections. The collection is inspired by the beauty of satellites, lending it a magical feel of astronomy and outer space.
