All the songs of Dabangg 2 are inspired by the songs of its first franchise Dabangg. ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ is replaced by ‘Dagabaaz Re’, ‘Munni’ by ‘Fevicol Se’, ‘Chori Kiya Re Jiya’ by ‘Saanson Ne’, ‘Humka Peeni Hai’ by ‘Pandeyjee Seeti’, and ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ by ‘Dabangg Reloaded’.
There is no great innovation or anything new in the Album. All songs just look like template of first one. The songs of first Dabangg became very popular and so nowadays Dabangg 2’s songs are also receiving good response but one thing is been discussed everywhere that no song has a new creation.
The album of Dabangg 2 begins with Raahat Fate Ali Khan ‘presentation of song “Dagabaaz Re”. The song is based on a Tabla and harmonium arrangement. The song is sweet & soft, at some points it sounds so pleasing too but the stanza sounds quite confused to connect with the words and the way the song has shape up.
The next is “Pandeyjee Seeti” which may give you some feel of background music of “Emotional Atyaachar song from Dev D. no doubt that song will get many Seetis (Whistle) in theaters. Voice of Wajid is powerful. Overall the song is full of energy-filled number but it fails to create its new identity.
Fevicol Se, an item number song is an attempt to re-create the magic of Munni-Badnaam by the composers. The song is very refreshing with Kareena’s superb performance and Farah Khan’s excellent choreography. The chorus sound like inspired from Rajasthani folk song ‘Holiya mein ude re gulaal. The lyrics sound little cheap for decent audience but it’s easy to recall.
The love song “Saanson Ne” is a romantic number and a duet song; it may remind you of 90's. This song also has an internal connection with ‘Tere Mast Mast” but it has failed to impress much.
And the last, ‘Dabangg Reloaded’ is the title track which is not at all great like the first one was ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’. The original "Dabangg" title track was more impactful but this one sounds like a overdose than reloaded.
