The Box office has responded great for the horror flick over two comedy genre films that released last weekend on November 2. The Bhatt camp’s horror film 1920 - Evil Returns and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana over the weekend.
1920 - Evil Returns started on a good note with the opening collection of Rs. 4.05 Crore nett, and Saturday Rs. 3.85 Crore. But its business picked up on Sunday and collected Rs. 4.30 crore nett which comes to the total of Rs. 14.28 crore in the first weekend collection.The film stars Aftab Shivdasani and Tia Bajpai in a lead which is a sequel of film ‘1920’ released in 2008. The film has been made on a budget of approx Rs. 10 crore, so the collection seems to have benefited for the film.
While 1920 Evil Returns making good vibes at Box office, it has impacted on similar released Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. This film had a low opening despite of being a film by Ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The film could only collect Rs. 1.25 Crore on its opening but picked up some business over the weekend which comes to total of Rs. 5.75 Crore nett by the weekend.Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana stars Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in lead, the film’s collection could not impress box office but nevertheless looking at the low budget film it will be little profitable for the makers.
The third film released this Friday ‘Ata Pata Lapataa’ of Rajpal Yadav has faced a complete white wash at Box office, film earned around Rs. 1 crore on its opening but by the weekend film totally gone dumb.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s Student of the Year still running good at theatres. The film has so far earned Rs. 66 crore.
