"The Lunchbox" was meant for niche audience and that is why it had very limited release across 400 screens. But still managed decent numbers on Friday followed by big jumps in next two days.
Film collected 1.25 cr nett on day one followed by 2.60 cr nett on Saturday which was a jump of more than 110%. Film has collected further 3.25 cr nett on Sunday taking weekend total to 7.10 cr nett which is good for such a limited release.
Film had growth across the board and even losing in Oscar race has created good buzz for the film. That means film will have steady weekdays and lifetime total of 12-15 cr nett will be a fair result for the film.
