Ever since we heard that Priyanka Chopra will have two distinct looks in the upcoming Zanjeer, we had a constant itch to see her in that makeover. In the new set of images from the shooting of Zanjeer, we finally got to see Priyanka’s retro get-up.
The actress is styled by fashion designer Pria Kataria Puri for the film, and as Priyanka Chopra’s character is of an NRI, Pria has given her stylish and vibrant clothes. The recent stills from the set of the film have Priyanka sporting a lehenga-saree. The actress has also maintained her new haircut with fringes for Zanjeer.
According to Pria Kataria Puri, “In the first-half of Zanjeer when she's abroad Priyanka would be dressed as a woman entrepreneur should be dressed. She looks like any chic well-dressed woman from any part of the world. Later when Priyanka's character comes to India she gets more colourful in her sartorial expression.”
During a song’s shoot, titled Pinky, Priyanka Chopra was also snapped in a retro pink saree, worn by the likes of Mumtaz in the 60s and 70s. However, pink is also the colour for Sanjay Dutt’s look in another song. The actor can be seen in a pink pathani kurta-pyjama.
While Priyanka and Sanjay’s clothes are radiant, Inspector Vijay, that is Ram Charan Teja, has formals in his wardrobe as he plays a debonair angry young man.
The tentative release date of Zanjeer is May 10. The first trailer of the film can come any time soon.
