With 4 films older in the industry, actress Asin finds she is satisfied with the roles that she has got so far. Asin is now coming with her 5th Bollywood film ‘Khiladi 786’ which is her fourth back-to-back comedy film. But the actress thinks that she has given varieties so far and now her current role of a Maharastrian girl, will turn as her powerful role so far. Here Asin is getting politically correct about her career . . .
How much you are highlighted in the film which is a Hero-Centric?
Well for that you need to watch the film but what all I can say I have very much scope in the film because if Akshay is Khiladi I am a Miss Khiladi in the film. It was a great fun doing this role which is so powerful. And unlike our last film Housefull 2, Me and Akshay got to share lot of screen space in the film. It was again fun to shoot.
You are now considering as a lucky mascot as whichever films you do, it guarantees to cross 100 Cr marks.
No, I really don’t think so, but ya, it is because of god’s grace and the love from my audiences that my films do well. But I don’t give any such guarantee that film will go blockbuster, I have no such formula that, I select the films that I feel I can enjoy doing. Also I feel it is may be because of kinds of films I chose which appeals to masses.
First time you are playing character a Maharashtrian girl, how was the experience?
Wow, experience was superb, first time I played Marathi girl, her name is Indu Tendulkar who is a daughter of a Don. It was great fun doing this character. It’s not a delegated girls’ character, she is very rough & tough and confident as well. First time I learnt Marathi language, and its culture.
What is the difference you find working with Akshay than the other actors?
I have built up a good relation with him as a co-actor. I find it very comfortable working with Akshay. Despite of being a Mega star, he is always down to earth, he has no ego or attitude issues. As we did back to back films, our tuning is good now.
How do you find it being a 100 Crore Club Heroine?
I don’t believe in clubs. I think an actor should always focus on their work, and this number business is producer’s lookout. I never give preference to it.
Do you think you are missing out on a woman centric role?
Nothing like that, if any such good role comes to me I will love to do it but moreover i prefer well written role. I think an actress should not be bound with any roles.
