With Kick still going strong at the cinema halls, Sajid Nadiadwala cannot seem to stop smiling. His debut film as a director has reached the 200Cr mark, already making him the highest grossing debutant director in Indian cinema!
This has been a glorious year for Sajid with Kick having achieved the title of being the highest grosser of 2014, after gifting three back to back hits to the audiences as a producer in the very same year! His earlier movies Highway, 2 States and Heropanti were received very well at the box office and Kick has taken the benchmark even higher. The film has been declared a superhit within its first week of release, successfully breaking all box office records within a week of its release. This film is Salman Khan’s first film to reach near the 200 Crore Club in its first week and is still going strong. With the success of Kick, Sajid has established himself as the finest entertainer of the year.
Sajid’s upcoming ventures would be the much talked about Tamasha, which brings together the impressive trio of Imtiaz Ali, Deepika Padukone along with Ranbir Kapoor which has already gone on floors & completed its first schedule in Corsica, France and Phantom which releases early next year. A third in the Housefull series titled ‘Housefull 3’ is also on the cards. And if 2014 was anything to go by, Sajid seems all set to take his winning streak further with every subsequent movie!
