Director Shaad Ali who gave the super-hit Saathiya is all set to return to direction after a gap of five years with Yash Raj Films' 'Kill Dil'. The filmmaker's last movie was a major failure at the box office 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' in 2007, which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Lara Dutta and Bobby Deol.
Shaad Ali went back to his 'Guru' Mani Ratnam and helped him in 'Raavan' which was again a huge Flop. His comeback film 'Kill Dil' is a breezy but not a totally romantic film. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra and stars Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. 'Kill Dil' will go on floor in October this year and is slated for a 2014 release. Shaad Ali is a son of Muzaffar Ali and started his career as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam.
Shaad debuted as a director with 'Saathiya' which was originally made in tamil as 'Alay Payuthey' by Mani Ratnam.
