Tigmanshu Dhulia's upcoming action entertainer Bullett Raja stars Saif Ali Khan as the male protagonist and the Nawab of Pataudi shot at various real locations, including Lucknow's historic Hazratganj, for the film.
Saif shot for a chase sequence on the main roads of Hazratganj and special arrangements were made by the makers of the movie for this particular scene. Reportedly, Saif was so excited about the entire sequence that he took it upon himself to do all the bold and daring action sequences, that involved everything from jumping atop the cars at a lightning speed to navigating through the traffic while ensuring a fast chase.
Nearly 10,000 people turned up to witness the shoot and Saif's high-octane stunts won whistles and accolades from the onlookers. However, as the shoot progressed the crowd became out of control and even the 500 security guards and police officials had a tough time managing the mob. Saif also had to step out and request the crowd to calm down.
Rahul Mittra, the producer of the movie, says, “Hazratganj, one of the nerve center of the city, is an extremely crowded place and made it impossible for us to shoot. People were very eager to see Saif Ali Khan, as for the first time an action sequence has been shot there. Its only because of the support of local authorities that we could manage to shoot smoothly and in time."
Bullett Raja stars Sonakshi Sinha opposite Saif and is slated to release on November 29, this year.
