Two decades after "Tezaab" created box office history with a Rs 20-crore profit, the buzz is that producer and director N Chandra is planning to recreate the magic with a sequel.
it was six years back that Chandra had planned to make a sequel to the blockbuster that made its lead pair, Anil and Madhuri stars almost overnight. He had also zeroed in on the male and female leads of the sequel, who would step into the shoes of Anil and Madhuri. But due to financial constraints he had to abort the project.
But looks like the director has finally got his mojo back and is all set to start working on the sequel. Tentatively titled "Tezaab" - Revisited, the film is now scheduled to go on floors in May. Although the name of the lead pair is a closely guarded secret, here's hoping that it works as a springboard to propel their career as it had for Anil and Madhuri.
