Subhash Kapoor, Director of 'Phas Gaye Re Obama' and soon to be released 'Jolly LLB' is roped in to direct the Third Installment of 'Munnabhai' franchise. The Film maker's upcoming satire on Indian Law system 'Jolly LLB' is making lots of noise in Trade and Media these days.
"Right now, I am completely tied up with 'Jolly LLB' and after the film's release, We will start scripting for 'Munnabhai'. So most probably the film will go on the floors early next year. Nothing has been finalized yet. Once Raju Hirani gets free from 'Peekay', we will sit together and discuss the film. Right now only one thing has been finalised that I will be direct the film. Nothing more than that." confirmed Subhash Kapoor.
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Film maker Rajkumar Hirani had released a trailer of Munnabhai Chale America long back which created lots of curiosity, But the film stopped due to some unknown reasons. Some sources also claimed the third installment to be similar to Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan'. The last two Munnabhai versions were directed by Ace Film maker Rajkumar Hirani and were money-spinner's at the Box Office.
We can only hope Subhash Kapoor does full justice to Munnabhai 3 like Rajkumar Hirani did with earlier two Munnabhai's.
