Producers Himesh Reshammiya and Rakesh Upadhyay have secured the remake rights of ‘Jatt & Juliet’, the biggest hit in Punjabi cinema of all times. The duo has just released their joint venture action comedy film ‘Khiladi 786’.
Well, therefore it is very much cleared that only Akshay Kumar will likely be playing the lead role in the Hindi adaptation of the film. ‘Jatt & Juliet’ is the all time blockbuster Punjabi romance film which starred Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa as a rustic Punjabi and a sophisticated fashion designer who keep bumping into one another in Canada.
The Hindi remake is said to be directed by Anurag Singh, who directed the Punjabi smash hit. Producer Upadhyay has confirmed the news saying that the remake of ‘Jatt & Juliet’ would start early next year, but he denied to commenting on the cast.
