So far, actor Ranveer Singh has mostly been lauded for his infinite energy and his on-screen charms, but it seems that the young lad managed to impress Ram Leela director Sanjay Leela Bhansali with his discipline and dedication too.
Sources claim that Ranveer has been observing a strict diet for his look in Ram Leela, where he will star opposite Deepika Padukone. Recently, while the team was shooting at Film City in suburban Goregaon, Sanjay ordered for biryani for everyone in the team for lunch. However, though Ranveer was sorely tempted to dig into the feast, he stood fast by his diet. Needless to say, Bhansali was immensely impressed with Singh and promised him a treat at his favourite restaurant once the shooting was wrapped up.
Ram Leela is supposed to be the desi adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragic love story Romeo And Juliet and the film is set in Gujarat. The film will also have actor Abhimanyu Singh (of Gulaal fame) playing the role of an antagonist.
